Product Care

Your CALIGARCIA jewelry is crafted to last a lifetime. Although fine jewelry is durable, it is also delicate and should be handled with care and respect. Over time, all jewelry will naturally wear and change with use. Your piece will evolve and transform, its character changing as you wear it. Scratches and small dents are normal signs of wear and tear, not defects.

Most of our jewelry is designed for everyday wear, but depending on the metal variations, some pieces may be better suited for occasional wear.

When not in use, store your jewelry in a dark, dry place, such as a jewelry box or the box it came in.

Precious metals and plating can be affected by chemicals like perfumes, body lotions, sun creams, and cleaning products. To minimize these effects, put on your jewelry after dressing and remove it when cleaning or washing up.

Caring for your sterling silver jewelry

One of the reversible characteristics of sterling silver is oxidization (discoloring), so we have a few tips for you to slow this process down as well as how to get your silver jewelry back to its original shiny state.

Store your silver jewelry in a cool, dry place when not in use. To prevent discoloration, avoid wearing it in chlorinated water, such as swimming pools or baths.

The ideal way to store your sterling silver jewelry is in an airtight, preferably zippered bag, as exposure to air can cause the silver to oxidize over time.

Cleaning your jewelry

Gently polish your precious jewels with a smooth microfiber cloth to restore them to their original state.
